Changes

What changed

SCRIS development is user-led.

The SCRIS communications approach has enabled the SCRIS delivery team to respond to user needs throughout. This is a key facet of the new approach to cancer intelligence in Scotland outlined above, and supports a learning healthcare system mindset. The ongoing cyclical flow of user feedback contributes to continual and iterative developments of the SCRIS dashboards.

From the communications activities delivered and future activities planned for the SCRIS dashboards, developers will continue to improve their understanding of what current, potential and future users need.

SCRIS dashboards and analytical resources are used to support improvements in cancer care.

Users who are engaged with the SCRIS dashboards and the analytical service understand that it is the ‘go to’ place for cancer intelligence in Scotland.

From the communications activities delivered and future activities planned for the SCRIS dashboards:

  • current and potential audiences have:
    • a better understanding of the benefits of using SCRIS
    • a better understanding of how they can use SCRIS to support their roles
    • a more efficient and user-friendly experience of applying to use the dashboards
    • a better understanding of how to use the functions in dashboards once they have access
    • opportunities to give feedback on current functions and future developments
    • regular updates on news and events relevant to SCRIS
  • future audiences will:
    • help shape developments that they need
    • be engaged in messages about SCRIS
    • be willing to become testers or users when platforms for these future users are developed and tested
